There are Type C docks and Thunderbolt 3 docks - and Thunderbolt won't work in a Type C connector, but type C will work with both. I've seen reports that the 2500U Matebook works, and the 3500U Magicbook too - but I cannot find out anywhere if the 3500U Matebook does. I have the 3500U and couldn't get a second display to work with a USB C hub
